What Does "Sale" or "Sharing" Mean?

Under California law, a "sale" is broadly defined as the disclosure of personal information to a third party for monetary or other valuable consideration. "Sharing" means disclosing personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We "sell" or "share" your personal information when we provide your contact details and property information to installers, lead aggregators, and marketing partners who compensate us for connecting them with potential customers.

Note: To connect you with the quotes and savings estimates you requested, we sell or share your personal information with our network of verified partners and lead aggregators. If you opt-out, we will not be able to provide you with competitive quotes from our partner network.

Categories of Personal Information Sold or Shared

We may sell or share the following categories of personal information:

• Identifiers: Name, email address, phone number, property address, ZIP code
• Commercial Information: Home ownership status, preferences, project timeline
• Internet Activity: Form interaction data, website browsing behavior
• Geolocation Data: Approximate location based on ZIP code

How to Submit Your Request

If you would like to exercise your right to opt-out, please submit your request using one of the methods below:

Authorized Agents

You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. To do so, the agent must provide:

• Written authorization signed by you (the consumer)
• Proof of the agent's identity
• Verification that the agent is registered with the California Secretary of State (if a business)

We may also require you to directly verify your identity and confirm that you provided the agent permission to submit the request.

Verification Process

To protect your privacy and prevent fraudulent requests, we will verify your identity before processing your opt-out request. We may ask you to confirm:

• The email address and phone number you provided to us
• Your property address or ZIP code
• Other information we have on file to confirm your identity

Response Timeframe

We will respond to your opt-out request within 15 business days of receipt. In some cases, we may require up to 45 days to fully process your request. If we need additional time, we will notify you of the extension and the reason for it.

Effect of Opting Out

Once your opt-out request is processed:

• We will stop selling or sharing your personal information going forward
• Your information will not be included in future lead distributions
• We cannot recall information that was already sold or shared before your request
• You may not receive competitive quotes from our partner network

Right to Non-Discrimination

We will not discriminate against you for exercising your right to opt-out. However, please note that opting out will prevent us from connecting you with installers, which is the core purpose of our service.
